Visual Bank株式会社（東京都港区、代表取締役CEO 永井真之）は、傘下の株式会社アマナイメージズを通じて展開するAI学習用データソリューション「Qlean Dataset（キュリンデータセット）」において、画像認識、画像分類、マルチモーダルAIなどのAI開発・研究用途に向けた「日本の寺院の画像データセット」の提供を開始しました。

本データセットは、日本各地の寺院を対象に撮影された画像で構成されています。本堂や山門、境内といった建築物や空間要素を中心に、屋外環境における実際の景観を収録しており、都市部に位置する寺院から山間部に佇む寺院まで、立地条件の異なる寺院が含まれています。そのため、日本固有の宗教建築や文化的景観が、さまざまな環境下で写された構成となっています。
また、四季や天候の異なる屋外環境下で撮影された寺院景観を含んでおり、建築要素と周囲の自然環境が一体となった、日本特有の空間構成を視覚的に捉えられる点も特徴です。
各画像には、撮影場所や被写体に関するメタ情報が付与されており、単なる景観素材としてではなく、文化的文脈や空間構成を踏まえた視覚データとしての活用を想定しています。寺院という特定ドメインに絞った実写画像であることから、汎用データでは補いにくい日本固有の建築様式や景観要素を扱うAIモデルの学習や検証用途に利用できます。

Culturally Grounded Outdoor Image Data for Scene Understanding and Visual Classification

Visual Bank Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Saneyuki Nagai), through its subsidiary amanaimages Inc., has launched the Japanese Temple Image Dataset under its AI training data solution, Qlean Dataset.

The dataset is designed for AI development and research in image recognition, image classification, and multimodal AI.
The dataset consists of photographs of Buddhist temples across Japan, capturing architectural elements such as main halls, gates, and temple grounds in real outdoor environments.
Temples in diverse locations, from urban areas to mountainous regions, are included, reflecting variations in Japanese religious architecture and cultural landscapes.
Images are captured across different seasons and weather conditions, showing architectural structures in relation to their surrounding natural environments-an essential characteristic of Japanese temple spaces.
Each image includes metadata on location and subject attributes, enabling use as contextual visual data rather than standalone scenic imagery.
