KOMIYAMA TOKYO（小宮山書店）では、村田言恵による個展「Mellow ceramics ii」を開催いたします。
昨年に続く本展では、新作セラミック作品を30点ほど発表いたします。
丸みのある造形で表現された架空の動物たちは、静かで凛とした表情と共に今にも動き出しそうな躍動感を秘めています。
マットな質感にガラスの粒が煌めく幻想的な作品群をぜひご高覧ください。

プロフィール
石川県出身。金沢や沖縄で陶芸を学び、現在は富山県の氷見で創作している。民話や伝承から着想を得た動物たちをモチーフとして、植木鉢を中心に制作。作品に土を入れ、植物を植えて育ったときに完成する構図でデザインされている。あえて釉薬の自然な動きを残し、ぽったりと溶けるような滑らかな手触りの作品には、触れた人の心を豊かにしたいという作家の思いが込められている。

Profile
Born in Ishikawa. She studied pottery in Kanazawa and Okinawa, and currently works in Himi, Toyama. She mainly works on flower pots, using animal motifs inspired by folk tales and folklore. It is designed with a composition that will be completed when soil is added to the work and plants are planted and grown.
She intentionally left the natural movement of the glaze in her work, which has a smooth texture that seems to melt, and expresses the artist's desire to enrich the hearts of those who touch it.
