10日前引け時点の日経平均構成銘柄の騰落数は、値上がり193銘柄、値下がり30銘柄、変わらず2銘柄となった。
日経平均は大幅続伸。前日比623.61円高（+1.85％）の34386.79円（出来高概算7億3500万株）で前場の取引を終えている。
9日の米国株式市場はまちまち。ダウ平均は157.85ドル安（-0.42％）の37525.16ドル、ナスダックは13.94ポイント高（+0.09％）の14857.71、S&P500は7.04ポイント安（-0.15％）4756.50で取引を終了した。利益確定の売りが先行し寄り付き後、下落。ダウは高値警戒感から終日軟調に推移した。一方、ナスダックは金利先安観が支援し終盤にかけて切り返した。今週後半に発表を控えている消費者物価指数（CPI）や、生産者物価指数（PPI）を控え調整色が強くまちまちで終了した。
米国株はまちまちだったが、為替市場でドル・円がやや円安ドル高に振れたこともあり日経平均は上昇でスタートした。寄り付き後、ハイテク関連銘柄など幅広い銘柄が上げ幅を拡大したことで、1990年3月以来となる34000円台に到達。その後、225先物にまとまった買いが入ったとの声も聞かれ、日経平均は上げ幅をじりじりと広げ34400円台まで上昇した。
日経平均採用銘柄では、一部証券会社の投資判断引き上げが材料視されて京セラ<a href="https://web.fisco.jp/platform/companies/0697100?fm=mj" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">＜6971＞</a>が大幅高となったほか、オリンパス<a href="https://web.fisco.jp/platform/companies/0773300?fm=mj" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">＜7733＞</a>、TDK<a href="https://web.fisco.jp/platform/companies/0676200?fm=mj" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">＜6762＞</a>、キーエンス<a href="https://web.fisco.jp/platform/companies/0686100?fm=mj" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">＜6861＞</a>も大幅高。フィラデルフィア半導体株指数（SOX指数）の上昇などを受けて、ルネサス<a href="https://web.fisco.jp/platform/companies/0672300?fm=mj" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">＜6723＞</a>、東エレク<a href="https://web.fisco.jp/platform/companies/0803500?fm=mj" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">＜8035＞</a>など半導体関連も引き続き日経平均をけん引したほか、昨日さえなかったファーストリテ<a href="https://web.fisco.jp/platform/companies/0998300?fm=mj" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">＜9983＞</a>も買われた。
一方、富士通<a href="https://web.fisco.jp/platform/companies/0670200?fm=mj" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">＜6702＞</a>が弱かったほか、住友化学<a href="https://web.fisco.jp/platform/companies/0400500?fm=mj" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">＜4005＞</a>、東ソー<a href="https://web.fisco.jp/platform/companies/0404200?fm=mj" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">＜4042＞</a>など化学株も売られた。また、商船三井<a href="https://web.fisco.jp/platform/companies/0910400?fm=mj" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">＜9104＞</a>、日本郵船<a href="https://web.fisco.jp/platform/companies/0910100?fm=mj" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">＜9101＞</a>も引き続き下落した。
セクターでは、精密機器、その他製品、医薬品、電気機器、卸売業などが上昇した一方、海運業のみ下落、鉱業は変わらずだった。
